Colombian Leonardo Castro says he is determined to write his name in Kaizer Chiefs history books.
The 28-year-old got his Amakhosi career off to a great start after scoring the winning goal against Baroka in a 2-1 win at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
Castro says he will put his emotions aside when he takes on his former club Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, hoping Chiefs can claim all three points to close the gap between the two sides.
‘It’s an important game, because we have to win to stay close to them,’ Castro told his club’s official website.
The Colombian striker says he is looking forward to scoring more goals and make his name with the Glamour Boys on a international level.
‘I want to score goals and to make history – I want my name to become part of the club’s rich history. I also want to achieve with Chiefs internationally, including winning the Caf Champions League,’ he added.
Kaizer Chiefs are set to welcome Sundowns to the FNB Stadium when the two sides go head-to-head in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 20:15.
