Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Thabani Austin Dube from Richards Bay United on a three-year contract with a further two-year option.
Amakhosi endured a much-discussed transfer ban over the past season but, now with the ban over and incomings allowed at Naturena, Chiefs are looking to act quickly.
Dube becomes the sixth new arrival at Naturena following the signings of Brandon Petersen, Sifiso Hlanti, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Phathutshedzo Nange, Njabulo Ngcobo and Kgaogelo Sekgota two weeks ago.
In a post on social media, Amakhosi announced the deal that welcomes the player who was key to Bafana Bafana’s Cosafa Cup triumph this past weekend.
“We would like to confirm the signing of Thabani Austin Dube. The central defender joins Amakhosi from Richards Bay United on a 3-year contract with a further 2-year option.
“The 28-year-old Dube recently lifted the Cosafa Cup with Bafana Bafana.
Welcome to Kaizer Chiefs!” read the post.
