Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that veteran defender Eric Mathoho has returned to full training after fully recovering from his injury.
The 28-year-old has only made two appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi this campaign and missed the past three matches after sustaining a groin injury a fortnight ago.
Amakhosi medical team physiotherapist Dave Milner has since confirmed that ‘Tower’, as Mathoho is affectionately known, fully recovered from his injury and has resumed training with the squad.
‘Eric is back in full training,’ Milner told his club’s official website.
‘He has fully recovered from a groin injury, but was looking comfortable during Thursday’s training session.’
Meanwhile, the medical team also gave an update on George Maluleka and Joseph Molangoane’s respective injuries.
‘George is fine and training with the team,’ he added. ‘It was a minor problem, but we thought it would be wise to take precaution to avoid worsening the injury.
‘Molangoane is getting stronger and stronger by the day. He works out in the gym and is steadily going through the recovery journey.’
Kaizer Chiefs will take on Highlands Park in their next Absa Premiership encounter at the Makhulong Stadium on Tuesday with kick-off set for 7pm.
