Stuart Baxter has praised forward Keagan Dolly for putting in all-round good performances and not just producing flashy moments as the former Montpellier man seems to be finding his feet at Naturena.
The Glamour Boys picked up a second consecutive win with a tight 2-1 win over SuperSport United this past Sunday, with Dolly yet again playing an influential role.
The forward was praised for his fine performance in Chiefs’ 4-0 win over Chippa United a couple of weeks ago and he was again influential against SuperSport as he set up both goals for Bernard Parker.
Baxter, speaking after the game, admitted that he was pleased with Dolly’s recent performances, with the forward putting in a big shift both on and off the ball.
“The last two games, Keagan has been excellent,” he told media after the match.
“It’s easy to say he’s been excellent because people see that he gets on the ball and he twists and turns, he gets away from people and his left foot puts people in from 35 metres. It’s easy to see that.
“But, Keagan Dolly, who has played in France and come back to embellish the PSL, comes back and puts in a real shift in terms of his pressing. His pressing technique and his pressing intensity are excellent.
“People maybe don’t see that, that’s not so sexy, but he’s giving all-round performances. It’s not just the eye-catching things. He’s been excellent in the last two games.”
