Siphelele Ntshangase challenged by Daylon Claasen

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the contract extensions of three players – Siphelele Ntshangase, Philani Zulu and Brylon Petersen.

Ntshangase, who joined Amakhosi in January 2018, put pen to paper on a new one-year contract extension.

The 27-year-old said: ‘Foremost, I am emotional about it. I want to thank the chairman for this opportunity. I want to thank everyone involved in seeing that I can still contribute to this immense institution.’

Zulu, who joined the Glamour Boys from Maritzburg United in 2017, also signed a one-year contract extension with the Soweto giants.

The 27-year-old defender-cum-midfielder is happy and grateful for the extension. ‘All I can do to show gratitude and appreciation by continuing to work to the best of my ability. I want to give back to the club. Thank you to the chairman,’ he said.

Goalkeeper Brylon Petersen, who arrived at Chiefs in September 2016, joined teammates Ntshangase and Zulu in signing new one-year contract extensions with Amakhosi.

‘I’m excited about my contract extension. It gives me a chance to improve further and compete at one of the best clubs on the continent. I have the opportunity to continue playing for the club. It is an honour to be here.’

The KwaZulu-Natal born trio have now extended their contracts for another year, which will keep them at the club until 30 June 2021.
