Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their decision to release Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana, leaving the midfielder free to join Black Leopards.

Dax will move to Thohoyandou on a free transfer after the Soweto giants terminated his contract due to the club’s foreign quota being filled.

The 28-year-old only joined Amakhosi last season, but failed to have much of an impact. With a number of new foreigners coming in at Naturena, Dax was deemed surplus to requirements.

The Glamour Boys announced the move on the club’s official website:

‘The club has reached its foreign players quota as per the rules and as a result decided to release the Malagasy midfielder. The 28-year-old player joined Chiefs in 2018 from Fosa Juniors in Madagascar after a protracted transfer process.

‘The release of Dax leaves Amakhosi with five registered foreign players, namely: Daniel Akpeyi, James Kotei, Samir Nurković, Leonardo Castro and Lazarous Kambole.’
