Kaizer Chiefs say they will deal with football manager Bobby Motaung internally after videos of the Chiefs boss partying it up – despite the lockdown regulations – circulated on social media.
Motaung has been accused of contravening South Africa’s lockdown regulations after the videos started circulating. In the videos, the Amakhosi boss can be seen standing in a lounge talking to another man while four women dance and smoke a shisha pipe.
It is not known where the party was hosted or who the other people in the video are, but regardless the party would constitute a social gathering and is thus against lockdown regulations.

‘We are looking into this and any other transgressions by the members of the club,’ Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa told KickOff.com.
‘The relevant offices will deal with that internally. We are committed to promoting measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.’
Asked if by that he meant the club was looking into the Motaung issue, Maphosa replied: ‘It’s a continuous exercise for all the members of the club, including this one.’
In the second video released on social media, Motaung is more clearly pictured in what looks to be like birthday celebrations.

With the league just a few days away from restarting and Chiefs desperate to hold on to their lead at the top of the PSL, this will come as an untimely distraction and the man known as ‘Bobsteak’ has received backlash for his actions.
