Kaizer Chiefs has been handed a boost after the club confirmed that George Maluleka, Erick Mathoho and Gustavo Paez have returned to full training.
The Glamour Boys closed the gap at the top of the table to just four points after beating Cape Town City 1-0 over the weekend, courtesy of a goal from Ryan Moon.
Chiefs’ physiotherapist Dave Milner revealed that Maluleka and Paez missed the last two games against Golden Arrows and the Citizens respectively.
‘Mido [Maluleka] is back in full training,’ Milner told the Chiefs’ official website.
‘He has responded well to the treatment and we are optimistic that he will go through training without a glitch.
‘Gustavo Paez is also back in full training.’
Meanwhile, Dumisani Zuma began light training after he was sidelined with a groin injury, while Mathoho has since recovered from his ankle injury and resumed full training with the first team.
Emmanuel Letlotlo will undergo a strength test to give the club an indication of his progress after sustaining a knee injury, while Amakhosi will continue to monitor Kabelo Mahlasela and Teenage Hadebe’s progress as well.
