Goals by Thabo Rakhale, Mxolisi Machupu and Edward Manqele saw Kaizer Chiefs being handed a 3-0 drubbing by Chippa United in a PSL encounter at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Heading into the encounter, Steve Komphela’s side had an outside chance of winning the Absa Premiership title as they occupied third spot on the table, but the Chilli Boys had other ideas with Orlando Pirates loanee Rakhale netting in the first-half after skinning Bafana Bafana defender Erick Mathoho.

Further goals by Machupu and former Chiefs striker Manqele added injury to insult as irate fans pelted missiles and projectiles after the game to voice their displeasure with their team’s performance and coach Komphela.
