The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has confirmed that National First Division side Jomo Cosmos has been charged on two matters.  

Jomo Sono’s side, who were recently eliminated from the Nedbank Cup on Saturday, as been charged with two matters, following their respective matches against Cape Town All Stars and Mthatha Bucks.

The Premier Soccer League released the following statement, which reads:

‘Jomo Cosmos FC has been charged for their failure to honour their National First Division fixture against Cape Town All Stars FC which had been scheduled for 31 March 2017. ‘

‘Pursuant to a Protest lodged by Mthatha Bucks FC, the PSL charged Jomo Cosmos with contravening Rule 35.2 of the NSL Handbook following their failure to have a minimum five U23 players present ‘at all times’ during their National First Division fixture against Mthatha Bucks on 11 February 2017.

‘They will appear in front of the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee next week Thursday, 04 May 2017.’
