Cape Town City confirmed the departure of Vincent Kobola ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The 33-year-old moved to the Citizens from Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2016.

Kobola opted to part ways with the club after playing second fiddle to Bafana Bafana defender Thamsanqa Mkhize, restricting him to six appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 season.

The former Jomo Cosmos defender now joins the likes of Tshepo Gumede and Robyn Johannes to leave the club, while midfielder Riyaad Norodien joined the club from Orlando Pirates.

During his two-year spell at the club from the Mother City, Kobola managed to rack up a total of 23 appearances in all competitions while assisting one goal in the process.
