Cape Town City have announced the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise to bolster their attack for the 2017-18 campaign.
The veteran midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Cape Town-based outfit, joining the club as a free agent after his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns during the off-season.
Modise spent over six years donning the Brazilians jersey following his arrival from Orlando Pirates, where he made a total of 189 appearances in all competitions, while netting 28 goals and assisting a further 32 times in the process.
The 34-year-old has won eight trophies throughout his career, including two Absa Premiership titles, the Nedbank Cup, the Telkom Knockout as well as the Caf Champions League and Super Cup, and the Telkom Charity Cup with Sundowns and Pirates respectively.
The midfielder has now become City’s fourth signing since they captured the services of Ayanda Patosi, Lyle Lakay and Jeitoso.
