Cape Town City have announced the signing of Baroka captain Mduduzi Mdantsane ahead of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old was released from his contract by Baroka last week with recent reports suggesting that he would join Kaizer Chiefs.

However, the Citizens have since confirmed that the midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a contract which runs until June 2023.

Mdantsane has managed to bag two goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this season before he was released by Baroka.
