The Premier Soccer League has announced that Cape Town City have been named as the Q-Innovation winners for Quarter Three.

Eric Tinkler’s side have captivated many people’s imaginations during the 2016-17 Absa Premiership season, as they currently sit third in the table with 55 points, trailing newly crowned champions Bidvest Wits by five points.

The Cape Town-based side walks away with the top prize, having won six of their last eight matches in this block, while accumulating 20 points in the process.

This is the first time that Cape Town City has won a Quarter since the introduction of the Q-Innovation, while Kaizer Chiefs finished second with 18 points – two shy of overall winners.

Meanwhile, Bidvest Wits won Absa Premiership Quarter One following their bright start to the season, while Mamelodi Sundowns won Absa Premiership Quarter Two following their exploits to defend their PSL title.
