Cape Town City have announced Bafana Bafana defender Keanu Cupido has signed a new contract with the club.
The Citizens have decided to extend the services of Cupido after exercising a two-year option in the initial contract he signed in 2018.
The 22-year-old becomes the third City player to renew his contract since the season was halted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Veteran midfielder Mpho Makola and skillful winger Bradley Ralani have also inked new deals with the Mother City-based outfit in recent weeks.
City released the following statement on the club’s Twitter account:
‘The club is delighted to confirm that we have taken up the option to extend rising star Keanu Cupido’s contract until June 2022.’
