SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels will be hoping his side can return to winning ways when they host cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides are set to renew their rivalry in the Absa Premiership for the second time in less than a week, after Matsatsantsa suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of Sundowns in the previous Tshwane derby.
Matsatsantsa will be hoping to return to winning ways in a bid to keep their title aspirations alive and keep the pressure on the teams at the top of the table.
Meanwhile, the Brazilians are out to claim their third consecutive win, after defeating Free State Stars in their previous league encounter.
The 32-year-old insists the latest edition of the Tshwane derby will be a different ballgame compared to their last game.
‘We are not thinking about revenge, but about playing a much better match,’ Daniels told the PSL website.
‘A proud game that we could be proud of ourselves, and play the way we know we can. We will give it our all and to fight (for the league title) until the end.’
As the Absa Premiership stands, SuperSport are placed fifth with 37 points, having won nine out of 21 matches played so far this season, trailing Sundowns in fourth by four points.
The two sides will now go head-to-head in their mouthwatering Tshwane derby at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
