Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids has called on the Blue Army to come out in numbers and fill up the Harry Gwala Stadium when they take on Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday.

The Team of Choice are set to welcome the Urban Warrior for their fourth PSL promotion-relegation playoffs encounter at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

United have already played three playoff fixtures and have secured two win out of three matches with there only defeat coming against their next opponents.

Maritzburg currently sits in second place on the table with six points from three games, three points behind leaders Spurs, who sits on nine points after three consecutive wins.

“I just want to thank the fans that travelled here its absolutely amazing,” Davids said.

“In that period we were under pressure they came behind us and to travel all this way and fill two buses is unbelievable.

“They have been our driving force this entire season. We’ve let them down on many occasions, 30 points not making it on goal difference.

“We conceded last minute every time and thats all points that would have kept us alive but they’ve been with us through everything and now to travel here is unbelievable.

“I plea now to them to bring your family and lets fill up the Harry Gwala Stadium.”
