Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly says he will continue to work hard at improving his game to help the team succeed after inspiring Amakhosi to a huge victory over Chippa United.
The former Montpellier forward bagged his third goal of the season with a brace during Amakhosi’s 4-0 victory over Chippa United at the FNB Stadium this past weekend.
Following their slow campaign start, Dolly insists his side have been working hard to rectify their mistakes moving forward, while also revealing that they have been working on building their confidence in front of goal as shown against the Chilli Boys.
“Overall, we played well as a team against Chippa. We executed the gameplan we had as a team. We were compact and defended and attacked as a team, and that showed,” Dolly told his club’s official website.
“Over the past few games, you could see glimpses and patches where we played really well. The coach always tells us, if we make those patches even longer, we will keep on playing well and score goals and no team can stop us.
“We created chances and we took our chances. We’ve been working hard at training, and we’ve been working off the field on our confidence in front of goal. We saw it on Saturday.
“I am working hard to show this week in and week out, it’s just the start. This isn’t the end, I’ll keep on working hard in order to help the team succeed.
“Even if I’m not playing well I’ll always give 100% for the team to succeed. This is a process about the whole team, not just about Keagan or whoever the individual is playing.
“It’s about Kaizer Chiefs and what we want to achieve as a team. We showed our class, hopefully, we can keep it going.”
