AmaZulu have confirmed the release of three players as they look to build and bolster their squad for the 2024–25 season.
Usuthu have revealed that the likes of Veluyeke Zulu, Augustine Kwem and George Maluleka have been released by the club.
The trio has since parted ways with the club after their contracts expired at the end of the 2023–24 season.
AmaZulu have since released the following statement on the players departure, which reads:
As the season has drawn to a close, a number of changes have been made in light of the current circumstances.
After a challenging campaign with a few ups and downs, where the team worked hard and made it to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup, there has been improvement from the side and coach Pablo Franco Martin expressed delight in how the team finished in the DStv Premiership, despite just missing out on a top eight finish.
The following players have been released from AmaZulu due to their contacts expiring at the end of the 2023/24 season.
* Veluyeke Zulu
* Augustine Kwem
* George “Mido” Maluleka
The club wishes these players well in their future endeavours and thanks them for their time with Usuthu.
