AmaZulu have confirmed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Sifiso Ngobeni on a six-month loan deal.

The 26-year-old joins the club on a deal that will see him remain at the club until the end of the current season.

Ngobeni brings a wealth of experience having previously turned out for now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic, Royal AM, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United.

Throughout his career, Ngobeni has registered three assists in 73 appearances across all competitions.

The Gauteng-born defender has since expressed his excitement at joining Usuthu as he looks to get more game time under his belt.

“I am very happy to join AmaZulu, to also work hard, to please the fans and the president of the club. I am happy that I’ll be meeting up with the right people so that we can help the team to rise,” Ngobeni told his club’s official website.

“The team has a lot of history, and we need to bring joy to the fans so that they can be happy about the club this season by finishing up in the top 4.”
