Cameroonian midfielder Brice Ambina has opened up for the first time following his permanent move from Cape Town City to Valerenga.

In February 2022, Ambina joined the Citizens from Cameroonian outfit Renaissance, and he rapidly established himself as an important player of the team.

Ambina made 30 appearances in all competitions during his debut season with City in 2022–2023.

Ambina only made 15 appearances for City the next season before agreeing to sign a loan deal with Vålerenga on loan in the January transfer window.

After making 13 appearances for the Norwegian team, the 22-year-old pleased them enough to earn a permanent transfer to the team.

“I am incredibly proud that I get the opportunity to give everything for this club. I felt at home from day one, and have been wonderfully well received,” Ambina told his club’s official website.

“I want to thank my teammates and coaches for the trust they have shown in me, and not least our huge supporters.

“You guys are amazing and I really look forward to playing in front of you for years to come.”
