Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker says his side will not get carried away despite their recent form across all competitions.
Stellies have now reached their second consecutive Nedbank Cup semi-final after cruising to a comfortable 4-0 win over SuperSport United at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday.
The Maroons have now extended their unbeaten run across all competitions to 21 matches following their win against Gavin Hunt’s side.
Stellies will now take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final of the competition, although the dates and venues are yet to be determined.
Barker says his side will be taking it “game by game” as they go on the hunt for another domestic piece of silverware this season.
“We can only take it one game at a time at this stage,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of ambition but there is still a lot to play for in the league as well, with eight league matches and 24 points on the line.
“Next week we are away to Sekhukhune United, followed by a game in Mbombela against TS Galaxy. Those are two really tough away games against two teams that are in really good form.
“We’ll wait to see what the draw holds for us, then put that away, and concentrate on the league fixtures up until the semi-final…”
