Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett admits the only thing that is missing in the team is their ability to convert their chances in the final third.
The Urban Warriors are yet to claim their first win in the DStv Premiership having suffered six consecutive defeats so far this season.
Spurs will now look to redeem themselves when they take on Cape Town City in the iKapa derby at the DHL Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Bartlett admits he has a lot of quality within his team but they are lacking the firepower up front.
“It’s very difficult to grasp [because] out of the five games, we probably didn’t deserve to get the result we ended up with,” Bartlett told his club’s official website.
“And again, maybe we didn’t work hard enough in order to get the result. When we were 1-0 up, we could have buried the game with a little bit more forward-thinking, aggression and energy [but] we tended to slow down the pace of the game.
“I think that’s sometimes to our detriment because we’ve got a lot of speed in our team, a lot of the players with the skillful abilities. The only thing that’s missing is the final product.”
