Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett insists three straight defeats in the DStv Premiership is a “wake-up call” to his team as they go in search of their first win of the season.
The Urban Warriors got their league campaign off to a rocky start after suffering straight defeats against TS Galaxy, Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City.
Spurs will now be eyeing their first win when they welcome Chippa United to Athlone Stadium on Friday evening.
Bartlett has urged his side to bounce back and eliminate their “individual errors” as they hunt for maximum points against the Chilli Boys.
“We have to find a reaction next Friday at home against Chippa. Obviously not the ideal way we would have wanted to start the DStv Premiership,” Bartlett told his club’s official website.
“But I think it’s also a wake-up call for our boys. In order to compete at a higher level you have to also increase your capacity. So we have to learn from this, again a couple of individual errors from us.”
