Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett says his side “needs to get more quality into the team” ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
The Urban Warriors have added three new signings to their roster including Luvuyo Phewa and Siyanda Msani on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and Keagan Buchanan following his departure from AmaZulu.
Spurs have also retained the services of veteran duo Clayton Daniels and Michael Morton while Lubeni Haukongo has also extended his stay at the club.
Bartlett now has his sights set on adding a few more players to strengthen his squad as they prepare for the upcoming 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
“Pre-season has given me an opportunity to look at trialists to add to the squad because we need to freshen up in certain areas and make it competitive for players in every position,” Bartlett told his club’s official website.
“We’ve also looked at a couple of loans from other clubs, we made a couple of signings in the last few weeks, which I feel will add more value to the team.
“We need to get more quality into the team, which we’ve done thus far, We’re still looking to add a few more in certain positions.”
