AmaZulu midfielder Ethan Brooks says he is grateful and honoured after being named as the Ambitious Player of the Quarter.

Brooks received the most votes in the club’s social media polls, edging out teammates Tshepang Moremi and Veli Mothwa for the award.

Despite a slow start to his Usuthu career due to injury, the former TS Galaxy player is now the only player to win it consecutively, having won it at the end of the previous season.

The award, which is powered by the club’s vehicle sponsor, Mitsubishi Motors, is voted on quarterly by fans as an added incentive for fans.

Mzokhona Gcabashe, a supporter, has won the fan lucky draw for participating voters and will soon receive a hamper from Mitsubishi.

Brooks considers the match against Usuthu, in which he scored his first league goal at Dobsonville Stadium, to be his best of the eight he has played thus far.

“I’m grateful. Obviously, it’s not only through me that I got this, but my teammates also,” Brooks told his club’s official website.

“I just want to say thank you to them – the coach also gave me the opportunity to play and the fans also who voted. A big thank you to all of them.”
