Kaizer Chiefs have continued to strengthen their squad after capturing the services of Colombian international Efmamjjasond González Palacios.

Amakhosi recently confirmed the departure of Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana opening the foreign spot at the club.

The Glamour Boys wasted no time in filling the foreign spot after they confirmed the signing of the Colombian international.

The 24-year-old striker joins Amakhosi after parting ways with División Profesional outfit Real Santa Cruz, where he scored eight goals in 19 appearances.

González now becomes Chiefs eighth signing behind the likes of Pule Mmodi, Tebogo Potsane, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Spiwe Msimango, Ranga Chivaviro and Edson Castillo.

The Soweto giants released the following statement on capturing the services of Palacios, which reads:

“With the season already underway, Kaizer Chiefs continue to bolster their squad by announcing the signing of Efmamjjasond Gonzáles Palacios from Colombia, as they prepare to compete strongly in 2023/24.

“The forward, simply known as Jasond González, is the second player from Colombia to sign for Amakhosi. He joins the team a year after his fellow countryman, Leonardo Castro, departed South Africa.

“González, who was plying his trade in the Bolivian Primera Division for Real Santa Cruz, is expected to arrive in South Africa soon to start his career as a Glamour Boy.”
