Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of winger Kgaogelo Sekgota.

The 26-year-old joined the club from Swallows FC and spent the past two seasons with Amakhosi, where he made 48 appearances across all competitions while assisting two goals in the process.

Sekgota has previously turned out for Vitória Setúbal, Bidvest Wits, FC Stumbras Kaunas and most recently Swallows FC (now Moroka Swallows).

Over the course of his career, Sekgota has contributed to 15 goals including five goals and 10 assists in 136 appearances in all competitions.

The Glamour Boys released the following statement on Sekgota’s departure, which reads:

“Winger, Kgaogelo Sekgota has departed Kaizer Chiefs after spending two years with the Club.”

“Sekgota arrived at Amakhosi from Swallows FC ahead of the 2021/22 season, and featured 48 times (14 starts + 34 subs) in the gold & black colours of the Glamour Boys.

“His new Club will make an announcement in due course after finalising all the paperwork pertaining to his registration.

“We thank KG for all his efforts and wish him well for the rest of his footballing career.”
