Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango is relishing the chance to face his former club TS Galaxy when the two sides meet at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
The 26-year-old joined Amakhosi from the Rockets before the start of the season and has already become a favourite, having already started all three of Chiefs games for the season.
The defender is now set to face his former club and is relishing the chance to impress for his new club when they square off in Nelspruit.
“I’m looking forward to the game. It is going to be a good one. They are a good team, playing well and we are a great team playing well, so it’s going to be a good fixture for us,” Msimango told his club’s official website.
“That’s where emotional intelligence comes into i. “Obviously, it’s emotional to play against your former employers, people that gave you a platform and opportunities to shine at the highest level of South African football, the PSL, but I have to keep that in check and focus on the task at hand.
“I need to do a job for my current employers, which s Kaizer Chiefs, my new family and help them get maximum points.
“They have had a lot of changes, like any other team. They lost a few key players last season but the players they have brought in have kept up the quality and the team is playing well. We just need to go there and win and make our supporters happy.”
The DStv Premiership match between TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs kicks off at 15:00 on Sunday, 20 August at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
