Cape Town City have confirmed that their upcoming DStv Premiership clash against Richards Bay on Saturday has been moved from Cape Town Stadium to Athlone Stadium.
The Citizens were scheduled to face the Natal Rich Boys at the DHL Stadium on Saturday afternoon but it has since been moved to Athlone Stadium in Athlone.
This change in venue comes as a result of the DHL Stormers playing host to Irish side Connacht in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship semi-final at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
“Our scheduled last home game of the season at the DHL Stadium this Saturday, has been moved to Athlone Stadium,” the statement read.
“This is following the Stormers’ home SF draw on the same date, Saturday 13th May.”
“We apologise to our supporters and the football community for the inconvenience. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish the Stormers best of luck for the crucial URC semi-final clash.”
“Bring it home boys!”
