Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck wants his side to build on their current momentum as they prepare to face Tshwane rivals SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old has found game time hard to come by at Sundowns and has only managed to feature in two matches across all competitions so far this season.
De Reuck did manage to play the final 90 minutes in their recent 3-0 victory over FC Nouadhibou in their opening Group C encounter this past weekend.
The Bafana Bafana defender was happy with his contribution to the team but is happy to see the team succeed even if he is only a bit part player this season.
“I’ve been working really hard to get back into the team but it hasn’t been easy because the guys who’ve been playing has been doing really well.
“My job is to support them until I get the opportunity and finally happy that I can contribute to the teams performance.
“We did fairly well and obviously I think we could have scored more goals but I think we did well to score three today and keep a clean sheet.
“At the end of the day for us as defenders, it’s very important to keep clean sheets.
“The Champions League has been our dream to try and win it so I think it was a good step in the right direction to win today’s game and now we can build momentum from this and try and win all our remaining games.”
