Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe has opened up about his own personal setback in his first season at Naturena.

The 25-year-old joined the Soweto giant from SuperSport United on July 1, 2023, featuring 20 times for the club in all competitions.

The Botswana-born defender has has been ever-present in the Amakhosi squad but was hampered with a shoulder injury, which saw him sidelined for 14 appearances across all competition

Ditlhokwe has been a regular in the squad since returning from injury but the defender is grateful to have fully recovered and be back in the squad.

“I was out for almost six months, but that’s football, you know. Injuries are part of the game,” Ditlhokwe told his club’s official website.

“Being unable to play has been difficult but now I am grateful to have recovered fully.”
