Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove says he will take their next DStv Premiership fixture “just as any other game” when he comes up against his former club Cape Town City.

The 29-year-old made his return to Amakhosi’s starting lineup against Sekhukhune United after coming back from injury.

Dove managed to impress on his return after scoring the winning goal against Sekhukhune to see his side bounce back and return to winning ways.

The Mozambique international will now come up against his former side but he has since stated they he will put his emotions aside and take this fixture as any other match.

“I’m taking it as just any other game, and our preparation is the same as for any other opponents,” Dove told his club’s official website.

“I am just hoping that we are the winners on the day, and that’s all, a very good team, with good players. Some of them are my friends.”

Kaizer Chiefs take on Cape Town City in their next DStv Premiership encounter which kicks off at 19:30 on Tuesday evening.
