Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley Du Preez is hungry to score more goals for the club and help them continue their current form in the DStv Premiership.
Amakhosi secured their fourth straight victory in the DStv Premiership following their win over Stellenbosch FC through goals from Ashley Du Preez and Keagan Dolly at the FNB Stadium.
The 25-year-old’s goal against Stellies was his four goals in the league for Amakhosi and his seventh goal across all competitions so far this season.
Du Preez will now be hoping to once again get his name on the score sheet when Amakhosi come up against Marumo Gallants at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
“As a team we are preparing well for the game and I am personally looking forward to it,” Du Preez told his club’s official website.
“We want to continue winning. It is our aim every time we step onto the field. From an individual perspective, I want to score goals that help the team win.
“We don’t look at where our opponents lie in the league. We take it as a match we have to play and we focus on how we are going to win on the day.
“The players don’t control the referee and linesmen. They make the decisions. We are just there to do our best.”
