AmaZulu midfielder Hendrick Ekstein feels his side “deserves to be higher up the log” ahead of their DStv Premiership encounter against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday.
Usuthu are set to welcome Babina in their next league encounter when the two sides meet at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
Pablo Franco Martín’s side comes into this clash looking to bounce back after back-to-back defeats in the league against Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sekhukhune, meanwhile, are on a two-game winning run in the league following their 2-0 victory over Chippa United.
AmaZulu currently occupies 14th place on the log with 15 points after 13 games, while Sekhukhune sits in 10th position with 17 points from 13 matches.
Ekstein has since stressed the importance of walking away with maximum points as they look to turn their season around.
“It’s going to a tough game, it’s not going to be easy,” Ekstein told his club’s official website.
“As a team we need to win the match because we are 14th now and it’s not a good position. The way that we are playing, we deserve to be higher up on the log.”
