AmaZulu midfielder Henrick Ekstein believes the international break will do his side good as they continue their preparations for their upcoming fixture against Orlando Pirates.
Usuthu are set to welcome the Buccaneers to the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, October 24, in their next DStv Premiership encounter.
Pablo Franco Martin’s side is currently in 11th place in the league standings with 10 points from their first eight matches.
Ekstein is happy with his team’s progress so far this season but believes they will continue to improve as the campaign goes on.
“I think this break is a good thing for us. We have been preparing and I think we have been preparing very well because the friendlies that we have we played we won almost all of them,” Ekstein told his club’s official website.
“I think the guys are ready. We saw that we are playing the Carling Knockout next week. I think we will be ready. We will have another week to get on top of that
“We have a lot of senior players in the team. We need to push each other.
“It is not about individuals for us but we as a team need to guide each other and help one another get the results and progress.”
