AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin was satisfied with his team’s performance despite suffering a defeat to log leader Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday evening.
The Durban-based outfit have now suffered back-to-back defeats in the DStv Premiership following their 3-0 defeat to Sundowns at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.
The defeat leaves Usuthu in 10th place on the log with 22 points from 17 games, while Sundowns stretched their lead at the top of the table to 12 points over second-placed Cape Town City.
Martin says he is taking positive feedback away from this defeat as his side continues to improve game by game.
“I think if we take the positive things, the way we competed in the first half, this can help us to grow a little bit more,” said Franco Martin.
“This team still competes and tries until the end, we are going to keep improving for sure. We need to just focus 100% on the things we need to do as a team and go back to the good results, hopefully next Tuesday.”
