Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson felt his side could have scored more goals against Moroka Swallows in their DStv Premiership encounter on Sunday.
The Glamour Boys returned to winning ways after claiming a 1-0 win over Swallows thanks to a goal from Christian Basomboli at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
The win sees Amakhosi move up to sixth place on the log with 17 points after 13 games, while Swallows remain in fifth position with 18 points from 11 matches.
Johnson was not pleased with his side’s performance despite walking away with the win and all three points.
“When we are now at the moment, we have so much, not negative, faults in our team, I think to come out and play against a team that’s number three (five) on the log and you take three points away from them, from home and then you play a good game,” Johnson told SuperSport TV.
“I thought we could have put two nice ones, we get two chances in the first half where I thought we could have scored, we didn’t score.
“But in saying that, Salie scores, it pleases you to see those moments come (off) in a game but it displeases you something when you have the game in the hand and we don’t really take control of the game.
“It’s something that I think Chiefs have a role to play in it, to be able to control that better. if it’s 1-0, 2-0, 5-0 it doesn’t matter, we must learn to control our game a lot better.”
