Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch says his side have shifted their focus to the highly-anticipated Soweto derby following their victory over Sekhukhune United.
The Buccaneers returned to winning ways in the DStv Premiership following their narrow 1-0 win over Sekhukhune thanks to a goal from Thabiso Monyane at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.
Pirates will now turn their attention to their upcoming fixture against rivals Kaizer Chiefs when the two sides square off at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Lorch was pleased his side walked away with maximum points against Sekhukhune but is now focused on extending their winning run when they face Amakhosi this weekend.
“It wasn’t an easy game, you can see the legs are gone, fatigue you know, but we keep on going [and] we focus on the next one. which is Chiefs on Saturday,” Lorch told SuperSport TV after the game.
“It was very important to get maximum points, we have not been doing well. i think for games without getting a result, so it was important to get three points to give us a boost for the next game on Saturday.
“Eish, it’s another tough game, tough opponent, I think we’re off tomorrow, we need to recover and we’ll see, we have to plan for that like all other games. [We can promise] a win, we’re going there to win, every game we play, we want three points, we going there to win.”
