Nasreddine Nabi, Amakhosi’s new head coach, has named Maart as his new captain to replace Itumeleng Khune.
The 28-year-old has been with Amakhosi since 2022, when he joined from Sekhukhune United.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder has subsequently scored four goals and assisted another five in 62 appearances across all competitions.
Maart is confident his side will win silverware in the new season after they finished 10th in the DStv Premiership last season, the club worst league finish in their history.
“Our goal is to achieve what everyone wants to achieve,” Maart said.
“It’s quite different because there is obviously different people, different technical team so everyone has their own ideas and the schedule for training and stuff.
“I find it quite nice and interesting because it’s nice, it’s tough, its hard, we have fighters in our team so basically we’ll win something this season for sure.
