AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin admits they do not always play at their “best level” but insists it’s a “long term” process to get consistent performances.
Usuthu returned to winning ways after they claimed a 1-0 victory over Cape Town City thanks to a goal from Sede Junior Dion at the DHL Stadium this past weekend.
The win sees Usuthu remain in 12th place on the log with 28 points from 23 matches, having won six games, drawn 10 and conceded seven defeats.
Franco Martin outfit will now take on Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
“The team has always been competitive, sometimes not playing at its best level,” Martin told his club’s official website.
“We are in a process and we know that we are committed to this process. It’s a long term process and we are growing up.”
“From the very beginning since we are here and we are adding a lot of value to this club. We’ve faced many difficulties this season and we’ve worked on all those [difficulties].”
AmaZulu FC against Orlando Pirates kicks off at 6pm on Saturday.
