AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin says his side are “underdogs” heading into their DStv Premiership encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday evening.
Usuthu will be high in confidence after they secured their place in the next round of the Nedbank Cup following their 1-0 win over Royal AM this past weekend.
AmaZulu comes into this fixture sitting in 10th place on the log with 22 points after 17 games, while Sundowns currently sit at the summit of the table with 39 points from 15 matches.
Having lost the previous fixture against the Brazilians, Martin is confident his side can walk away with all three points at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
“We are the underdogs and everybody is expecting us to lose that game but also, everyone was expecting us to lose when we played them here at the King Zwelithini Stadium,” said Franco Martin.
“We will try to do our best. We know our quality and we know that we will be playing away so it is going to be much more difficult.”
“But we are going in with the hope that we will be playing our best football and to get something.”
