AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin says they are working on improving to fight for their place in the top-eight next season.

Usuthu finished in 11th place in the DStv Premiership during the 2023-24 season after claiming eight wins, 12 draws and conceding 10 defeats, while clinching 36 points from 30 matches.

The Durban-based outfit missed out on securing their spot in the top-eight and a place in the MTN8 competition next season.

However, Martin reflected back on the past season and he been working hard during pre-season to improve his team as they prepare for the next season.

“This is football, and sometimes the results are not a reflection of the work we are doing on the pitch, and how we’re trying to develop this club and the people around us,” Martin told his club’s official website.

“This is also an important part of the process. I think the growth is clear for everyone, and how we’ve increased the value of this club and the players.

“We don’t want to say we finished in 11th and it’s okay, so let’s go for a little bit of improvement because we’ll end up fighting for the top eight next season.”
