Marumo Gallants have confirmed they have parted ways with captain Lehlohonolo Nonyane ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season.
The 36-year-old joined Gallants in the 2020/21 season when they acquired the status of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM).
The Katlehong-born defender has since gone on to feature 72 times across all competitions while scoring two goals in the process.
Nonyane has previously played for the likes of United FC, Jomo Cosmos, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Cape Town City, Golden Arrows, Bidvest Wits and TTM.
over the course of his career, Nonyane has contributed to 14 goals, including seven goals and seven assists in 181 appearances across all competitions.
“Marumo Gallants FC has parted ways with the former captain of the club Lehlohonolo Nonyane following an amicable agreement,” read the club statement.
“The 36-year-old center-back has been with the club since acquiring the status of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) during the 2020/21 season. Marumo Gallants management would like to thank Nonyane for his positive contribution and leadership as the captain. We wish him all the best with his future endeavours.”
