Orlando Pirates forward Patrick Maswanganyi says playing for the Buccaneers will equip him with the necessary skills to once again achieve his dream of playing in Europe.
The 25-year-old joined the Buccaneers from SuperSport United following his impressive 2022/23 season under the guidance of coach Gavin Hunt.
The Tembisa-born attacker was one of four new signings announced by Pirates which also included Sephelo Baloni, Katlego Otladisa and Melusi Buthelezi.
Maswanganyi has revealed his goals and ambitions for the upcoming season as he continues his pre-season with the club in Spain as preparations for his debut season with the Buccaneers.
“Being at Orlando Pirates is going to be a big boost for me and my career,” Maswanganyi told his club’s official website.
“I have always had ambitions of playing and competing in the CAF Champions League.
“I also want to play for one of the big teams in Europe and I believe that playing for Orlando Pirates will equip me with the necessary skills to achieve that dream.”
