Bafana Bafana midfielder Thalente Mbatha has revealed that he is unsure about his future following a successful loan spell at Orlando Pirates.
The 24-year-old joined the Buccaneers in the January transfer window on a six-month loan spell from SuperSport United.
The Buccaneers have the option to buy the midfielder but the Soweto giants have not exercised that option.
Mbatha has featured 16 times across all competitions while scoring one goal and registering two assists in the process.
“I’m not sure. My agent is the one who is going to sit down with the team and they’ll be able to decide, as Orlando [Pirates] have the option to buy me or not,” said Mbatha.
“I might say I want to stay but at the end of the day it’s not up to me.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder is confident that he has done enough during his six-month loan spell to convince Pirates to sign him.
“I think I’ve done really well but I still need to do more and it’s not enough. I think I can still score more goals and assist the other players,” he added.
“He’s very humble and a confident coach and he’s a person that believes in his players. I think that is one thing that makes him special.”
