Orlando Pirates midfielder Thalente Mbatha is confident his side will return home with three points when they take on Cape Town City at the DHL Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.
Pirates will come into this fixture off the back of an impressive 4-0 victory over Royal AM thanks to goals from Patrick Maswanganyi, Mbatha, Relebohile Ratomo and Kabelo Dlamini at the Harry Gwala Stadium last Sunday.
The Buccaneers currently occupy third place in the DStv Premiership standings with 43 points from 25 matches, having won 12, drawn seven, and conceded six defeats so far this season.
Mbatha has already shifted his focus to their upcoming fixture and is roaring to go after scoring his first goal for the club this season.
“As the coach says, we take each game as it comes,” Mbatha told his club’s official website.
“We take it one day at a time. I think we should prepare ourselves mentally and physically. It’s not going to be an easy game as we are playing away.
“If we do play the football we want and do what the coach tells us, we’ll definitely come back with the three points.”
