Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule has revealed that his side have been putting in a lot more effort to rectify their mistake in the final third.
The Brazilians secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Royal AM thanks to goals from Peter Shalulile and Lesiba Nku at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Sundowns have now extended their unbeaten run to 51 matches in the DStv Premiership, having already won the league title.
Mbule bemoaned his sides ability to find the back of the net recently but admits he can see the improvement in the final third in the last few matches.
“Every game is difficult and this was one of those but I think what made it easy was that we played the same opponents twice,” Mbule told Sundowns TV.
“So I think we had time to analyse, look at how they play, look at how they defend and look at how they attack. I think that made it easier today.
“It’s about who put in the more effort. I think here at Sundowns we’re doing corrections for every game, so I think with that with the games that we played before against them, I think we analysed and looked at every detail.
“I think that’s why we won today since we played the (CAF) Champions League, I think from the quarter-finals we haven’t been scoring that much so I think we did create chances but we didn’t convert.
“I think in the last three games that was the difference, we got into the box and then we scored more goals.”
