Cape Town Spurs coach Ernst Middendorp is hoping his side can return to winning ways when they take on Chippa United in their next DStv Premiership clash on Wednesday.
The Urban Warriors will look to bounce back after they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Moroka Swallows, conceding a 89th minute goal scored by Gabadinho Mhango at Athlone Stadium on Sunday.
Spurs will now take on the Chilli Boys in their next league encounter when the two sides meet at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The Cape side comes into this match sitting at the foot of the DStv Premiership table with 12 points from 21 matches, having won three games, drawn three, and conceded 15 defeats so far this season.
Middendorp is now hoping his side can turn their fortunes around after their four-game unbeaten run came to an end following their defeat to the Dube Birds over the weekend.
“We were not stopping the opponents with tactical fouls, we just let them go and it was just not as experienced as we have seen it on the other side,” Middendorp told his club’s official website.
“We could’ve used a bit of a bonus here [against Swallows], but for us it’s crucial to be as quick as possible and try to find our way forward.”
Middendorp has now shifted his focus to their upcoming clash against the Chilli Boys, saying he is hoping for a more “clean” result.
