Stellenbosch FC forward Lehlohonolo Mojela says he is highly motivated to win trophies and titles with his new club.
Mojela joined Stellies from TS Galaxy after putting pen to paper on a long-term contract with the club.
The 27-year-old arrives at Stellies after scoring seven goals and grabbing one assist while making 34 appearances across all competitions for the Rockets.
Mojela has revealed that their playing style and their ambition to win silverware attracted him to join the club.
“I’m very excited to join the Stellenbosch family because the club plays a similar style of football to what I play and am used to. All the team wants to do is attack, score goals and win trophies,” Mojela told his club’s official website.
“My decision to join the club was motivated by the way Stellenbosch played throughout last season, going on a 25-match unbeaten streak which was a lovely thing for the club.
“They beat my former team three times as well so I was also like, ‘Hey, if you can’t beat them, you must join them’.
“I’m hoping to win more trophies and titles with the team. As we saw last season, Stellenbosch won the Carling Black Label Cup and fell just short in the league and the Nedbank Cup, so maybe this season we can grab two or three trophies.
“I’m going to bring a lot of energy and look to motivate my teammates, and I hope to score a lot of goals as well,” he concluded.
